You raise me up- by Selah!

When I am down, and oh my soul, so weary.
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be.
Then I am still and wait here in the silence.
Until You come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up to more than I can be.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up to more than I can be.

There is no life Eno life without its hunger.
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly.
But when you come and I am filled with wonder.
Sometimes I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up Eto more than I can be.

Between the living and the dead!

I just listened to a sermon of Bill wilson about "making a difference" in this world. It really touched and I don`t want to forget what He taught me. Guys, live seems so hard for us, but do we really know what it means to live Cities like Berlin, München, London, New York, Hong Kong....? Thats where the worst conditions are for children to grow up. Most of them live big flats, if you die- no will will recognize because your parents don`t take care of you anyway. Either your parents are drug dealers, alcoholics or linked to some violent groups, planning the next street fight. Or they don`t even have money to take care of you because you have happened by accident! No of course not, you happend on purpose! It was God who wants you to live and he has his special unique plan for your life!
The thing i wanted you to know is not that i tell you "GO to new york city and change the world!" But to change the world, to make a difference at this time at this place where you are right now. And most imprtant- Be thankful! God has given us so much, he always provides and we overprodected people here in germany(me included) always complain that life is so hard and anyway- we do have our wishes and longings and demands! Of course we have! I won`t argue about that and i think its ok. But God wants to use us. And if we look on ourselves and our problems and on what we don`t have or like to gain.... we will miss the actual aim and purpose why we are on earth! "We don`t become Evangelists or great Christians if we cross the sea, but if we see the cross!" Thats the first step! The other thing is not looking at the cross and relaxing but bearing our own cross to come closer to Jesus and to MAKe a DIFFERENCE in this World!
You think you`re not qualified? God knows you are! You think you`re too young, or too old? Its not you who has to do it, it`s christ through you! Amen? Halleluja!
Go and change the world, what are you waiting for? At work, at school at home, in your city, village, town! Anywhere!!!

Give Thanks!

My Lord Jesus,
I just want to thank you for all the things you give me in my every day life. Things that seem to be normal like food and warm clothes. Thank you for guiding me at school, during my exam time and in my family. Thank you so much for providing! You´re faithful and your promises prove true. You give me clothes in time of need and you provide by sending money from relatives or friends. For YOU all things are POSSIBLE! Thank you so much for forgiven my sins, when i didn`t act or think the right way. Sometimes I´m absentminded and forget to rest and to talk to you- in all the day troubles ! Thank you for beeing faithful nevertheless :-) You´re praise worthy and your name is full of power! Thank you for giving me time and peace where the devil tries to destroy and exhaust me. You´re my Victory and because of YOU I´m save in your hand and we will win the battle!
Thank you for sending me to places where there is no love, peace and satisfaction! You placed me there on purpose. You`re thoughts are much higher than mine and you will be honored from generation to generation! I will follow you all of my days!
In Love, your daughter <3

Mission live

I just had two weeks on holiday, where i went to a conference with "youth with a mission" have you heard of them? Anyway, we had an amzing time and listened to stories from christians who went to india and other nations to preach the good news about jesus! It was so powerful! And because so many cultural people took part, it was very international, german and english and during worship time, we really celebrated jesus and danced! That was so atmoshperic :-) During the day we took i in turns- dancing, listening, eating, talking, sleeping! Actually the whole day was filled with any kind of activity, mostly woshipping and listening to the evangelists stories! One girl gave a short report about her life and how she really obeyed god and broke up her education though her parents told her sheßs crazy. That really touched me. I strongly believe its not about breaking up something right now in my life, but in case you really hear god telling you something, obey and act! She also mentioned bible verses that I´ve heard before but haven`t really thought about it yet. For example:

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? James 2:14

Then Peter said, ‘Look, we have left our homes and followed you.’ 29And he said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30who will not get back very much more in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.’ Luke 18:28
Behold, you shall call a nation that you don't know; and a nation that didn't know you shall run to you, because of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you." Isaiah 55:5 Whoever doesn't bear his own cross, and come after me, can't be my disciple Luke 14:27

So therefore whoever of you who doesn't renounce all that he has, he can't be my disciple. Luke 14:33
think about that! Are you really willing to follow jesus in every situation of your life?

Indescribable by Chris Tomlin

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea.

Creation reavealing your majesty,
From the colors of fall, to the fragrance of spring,
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exlaiming

Chourus:
Indiscribable, uncontamable.
You placed the stars in the sky, and you know them by name,
You are amazing God.
All powerful,
Unchangeble,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim,
You are amazing God

Verse 2:
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go,
or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow.
Who imagined the sun and gives source to it's light,
Yet conceals to bring us the cooless of night,
None can fathom

Indiscribable,uncontamable.
You placed the stars in the sky, and you know them by name,
You are amazing God.
All powerful, unchangable,
Awestruce we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim,
You are amazing God,
You are amazing God.

Incomprable, Unchangeable,
You see the depths of my heart,
And you love me the same,
You are amazing God,

You are amazing God.

Landscape

By Roy Lessin,
Co-founder DaySpring Car

Your life's like a landscape and God has the brush.
The work is in progress, He's not in a rush.
Each stroke has a purpose, nothing's by chance.
To see all His wisdom takes more than a glance.

Notice the sunbeams that shine on the dew --
Even the clouds can't keep them from view.
Look at the pathway that turns at the hill --
Its course will reveal what's next in His will.
The stream that's flowing with water so blue
Is bringing down blessings meant just for you.
The trees that are planted close to the stream
Will bring forth more fruit than you've ever seen.

The bird in the nest with mouth opened wide
Is just a reminder that God will provide.
Now look at the sheep in the meadow that's near
And notice the Shepherd that keeps them from fear.

He's brought them to pastures which give forth the best,
That cool and refresh, and keep them in rest.
The eagle above, that soars o'er the gale
Is God's way of saying, "My strength will not fail."

That part of the painting which now seems unclear
Will take on new meaning with each passing year.
So trust God to work in His own perfect way
And rejoice in the beauty He's painting today.
And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. Philippians 1:6 NLT

Call on Jesus

by Nicole C. Mullen
from "Talk About It"

I'm so very ordinary
Nothing special on my own
I have never walked on water
I have never calmed a storm
Sometimes I'm hiding away from the madness around me
Like a child who's afraid of the dark

But when I call on Jesus
All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles and soar
When I call on Jesus
Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call
La la la la, la la la la

Weary brother
Broken daughter
Widowed, widowed lover
You're not alone
If you're tired and scared of the madness around you
If you can't find the strength to carry on

But when you call on Jesus
All things are possible
You can mount on wings like eagles and soar
When you call on Jesus
Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue you when you call

Call Him in the mornin'
In the afternoon time
Late in the evenin'
He'll be there
When your heart is broken
And you feel discouraged

You can just remember that He said
He'll be there

Awesome Worship!

Last night we had a teaching in weiterstadt and after that an awesome worship time! I was just dancing and praising the Lord, he is so good. Everyone joined in in the end and we built a circle and just worshipped the Lord :-) It was powerful! I´m just sooo in love with my Jesus!
This afternoon i went on the huge lawn before my forest and cried before God. I had to tell him how good he is and how much i love him! Especially if you look at what he created... that fascinates me every time anew!
I will bless Yahweh at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth.

My soul shall boast in Yahweh. The humble shall hear of it, and be glad.

Oh magnify Yahweh with me. Let us exalt his name together.

I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34: 1-4

happy weekend!

This weekend was pretty awesome!
On Friday night i went down to frankfurt by train with my friend olesja where we went to "Deutsche Bank"! Hans Jörg picked us up and took us to Weiterstadt then where we celebrated miss deanas, sandra and sabines birthday! It was cool to get to know the guys from there and we had some really good talks! I slept at jac`s house and we spent a wonderful staturday together, went to the Rhein and just had fun. I love this family :) Later on i was painting a waterfall and a flower with acryl colours :) `cause i asked God what to paint and for me it means the flower only grows when there is water. And a waterfall means there is life and the life is going on!
At night we went up to marburg again and listend to a very good talk in our house church about "If we do our responsibility, God will do his responsibility"! It really taught me to grow and to go on in my faith. Not to just listen to sermons but to act as well! The communtity was so good and as I spoke to miss debby she really encouraged me that its normal if we sometimes feel immature in faith! Then this morning we went down to the service again and prayed together for the peace of Jerusalem. Folks, we should really keep on praying for that `cause God says "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. All of the families of the earth will be blessed in you." Genesis 12:3
We are all one family and we should think of our brother and sisters in jerusalem and also because jerusalem is gods chosen land!

Like a river

My weekend was so awesome. Actually i didn`t really know how to handle it beeing about to do so much. On Friday I went home after school knowing you have to prepare for monday exam but also preparing a present for Thomas birthday at night AND last but not least it was my turn to clean our church that day. Well somehow everything worked out fine and i wasn`t to tired and even had time on saturday to recover and also having my hair cut :-) Don`t worry it`s not too short!
After praticing for school Olesja came and we had a nice dinner and talked about books and subjects Dereck Prince (thanx martin ;)) writes about in his books- amazing! You should read books by him!
On sunday morning we went to weiterstadt to Rehin valley church again where we had a wonderful time of worship & prayer and after that a sermon about "Vison and decision"! Hans Jörg talked about dreams we have where its necessary to lay them down before the Lord and not making our own desions but to first ask God for his plan with our life. It was pretty good and helped me to intensivate the issue Im dealing with at the moment. And guess what "Praise the lord" though i haven`t learned a lot and spend much time doing other things, it was a very good exam today. Thank you all those who prayed for me :) Please also pray for Wednesday when my Politics and economic exam will take place !!! Cheers!

goregous, genius, smashing :-)

isn`t it good to know that even if we had a long busy day, there is someone who doesn`t say "you have to do..." God says relax and let ME care for you .... ahhh that`s enjoyable indeed :)

For I know the Plans I have for you... They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a furture and a hope! Jeremiah 29:10-15

That`s what my word for today said yesterday:
As the Creator, God has made us for a purpose. We need Him to help us achieve the future He has planned for us. The word for "future" in our key verse again becomes richer when viewed from the perspective of the original language. In The jewish mind there are a number of pictures associated with words. One picture for "future" is:

A boat going down a river. It is a two person boat with God and you aboard. God is facing the direction in which the boat is travelling and you`re facing God and can only see where you`ve come from.

In Life it´s essential we practise listening to God and trusting him!

Worship Concert

This weekend was so awesome. At saturday night we went to a life concert by Danny Plett- an canadian guy! Though he is from america he spoke german fluently and the texts really touched me. It was like you could really concentrate on jesus and worship him alone! His english album is called "like a river" and the german one "wie ein Strom" in case you want to buy it, what i really recommend! This morning i went to Rhein valley cell church in Weiterstadt ( near darmstadt) which was really good again. Three young people had the sermon today. Its wonderful how God uses people who are willing to obey him :)

Dance of Joy

Today I went on a prayer walk to the forest in my village, i just needed time alone with my God! It was so amazing, `cause i just sang worship songs and danced for joy. . . I just had to sing and dance and to get renewed by Gods spirit. That is the song I`m sing quite a lot at the moment, it`s just what i feel and long to become:

"Now my heart's desire, is to know you more
To be found in you, and known as yours
To possess by faith, what I could not earn
All surpassing gift, of righteousness"

What i also learned today is how much power we have of the words we say and confess. We should not give men the power to judge over us to tell us our destiny, NO we shouldn`t depend on when the doctor says you`ve got cancerand you`re gonna die. We might have it at this time but it doesn`t have to be forever, we don`t have to die because of it. God is mighty, He is indeed and if we BELIEVE what his word says he will do great miracouls! And he does a lot if we have faith in him. And even if we die then, we die because God wanted us to die and not because the doctor said it so!!!

Find out Gods plan for your life!

Today my mum, selina, olesja & me went to a American church in weiterstadt that is called Rhein Valley Cell Church. It was my second time there and my mum goes almost every sunday to this church. I really liked the kind of freedom they had. They all huged us in a friendly way and introduced us to the pastor. The worship was pretty different as well and everyone danced around the whole room.... :-) That was different but fun!
Pastor Charles talked about our destiny and that God gave everyone of us a destiny even before we were born. It was really good and encouraging. He also talked about how he became a pastor and that he never wanted to talk in front of other people but one day knew its God`s plan for his life. The first time i went to this service people prayed for me and God gave them a picture abou me... that was wonderful. This time i didn`t expect anything to happen, but Pastor Charles suddenly wanted to pray for me. He also asked me what i want to know. I said that I´m really interested in what God`s plan for my life is. As he started to praying in tounges, he told me to get a pen& paper and my aunt wrote anything down he then said to me. He asked me if I`m nervous, and i said not really but he told me to better be. It was AMAZING. Imagine this guy didn`t even know me but talked about Gods plan for my life in all the areas I struggle with. He talked about problems I have, which are absolutely the point.... I just know it comes from God , this is so obviously.
Now I know Gods plan for my life and know he wants me to work on it, he want to lead me into this destiny. I´m sooo excited :) and thankful, I really am.

"Consider your own calling, brothers. Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,..." 1. Corinthians 1:26...
"...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,..." Ephesians 1:17...

"I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,..." Ephesians 4:1

"Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble." 1. peter 1:10

Faithful!

I just wanted to thank Jesus how faithful he is and how he led me through the last week. I really prayed for my christian friend at school (the only christian i know at my school) to get a passion for jesus and have the dream of living for him. God has done a miracle :-) It was the first thing she told me that her life has changed completly and she suddenly has such a passion for jesus and knows she belongs to him *halleluja*
On thursday my friend from Tabor visited me and we had a wonderful time together. Later we went to a service "im Hinterland" called "arche". It was sooo amazing. The pastor talked about Isaiah 43:1,2 : "Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you." He said that even in times when we walk through fire and are scared God is with us and tests us and strenghen us in our faith! It all has its sense. It was wonderful!
This year my main courses are english and arts and its pretty different than i thought. In the beginning i was really scared because everyone talked perfect english (the guys who were in america for one year) but i just know its my place to be in this course. So this morning i had a little presentation and was nervous but God just showed me his faithfulness and that he never leaves me :-) PRAISE HIM!

"Morgenstund hat Gold im Mund" - Early in the Morning!

Today it was my first day at school after 6 weeks at holiday. i was wondering how my first day would be, also because I´m in year 12 now and all the exams count for my abitur! This morning I woke up, realized it`s half 6 and time to take a shower- everything was still normal- but when i finished taking a shower it was 7 ish and i only had 20 minuts left til my bus left... well never mind, just hurry a bit BUT as i knocked at my fathers door wondering why he was still assleep he told me it is 6 ish, i got up a hour too early .... mmmhh... My first thought was "nom d`ume pipe en bios!" or you better say "damn" but i remembered myself praying yesterday night for a good start to school and thanked God for giving me the possibility to spend time there praying and reading his word!
GOD IS AWESOME!

England 2006 !

week 1:
London! It was sooooo hot you can`t possibly imagine! The very friendly Gurnett family invited me to stay with them for 2 weeks where i worked with `youth for christ` and saw LONDON town which was quite fascinating for me :) At the office we made invitations for all the young leaders in London who helped during the second week to run kids clubs. The heat however hindered this so we hung around all the time and watched TV, lay in the sun, slept in the office and made "cold dog" (`kalter hund´- german chocolate cake) !!! Once I went with Claire (the older sister) to help her at the primary school where she works. There I decided that i would like to do my work experience in january and luckily the headteacher gave me permission too. Hehe :)

week 2:
Jubilee Kids !
This is how a day looked like:
Yesterday we started our children programme in a part of london called charlton, where loads of flats, big houses and families are who are quite poor. But still a lovely place with a big garden in front of the flats. One christian family who lives at a flat called cherry orchard has a really big garden and we could do our programme there.
Our day looks like that:
coming together, building up the tents,
praying, worshipping the lord,
when the children arrive they first have to register and then they can play some games and also eat & drink!
Later on the programme starts and people from the jubilee kids team, including me, tell the children about jesus, play some games with them, do sketches, songs, pray (always using the sketch board) luckily the children are really enthusiastic :)
Yesterday Tory prayed for the exzema on my hands which helped a lot. Jesus really heals me! it doesnt hurt anymore.
The community and unity that the team has is also really amazing and i met loads of nice people, you just feel how God leads them and they have a big joy in their lives which is wonderful :)
Yesterday a girl gave her life to jesus *halleluja* and she now comes every day and loves it.
In the afternoon the children can do: dancing, crafts, choir or football! I did crafts yesterday and dancing today- fun hehe :)
After that the children can do "jesus action". There we go around the estate and wash the windows of the people and planting flowers in their garden- doing something really nice for the people! The children love it, it is fun indeed!!! :)
then the children go home and we have a big team dinner :)
just wonderful to do this job. I did the prayer yesterday and today i did the actions to the songs and were doing a game! :) thanx jesus for the day!
We did that the whole week and in the end the team leaders gave everyone a card telling they continue to pray for us and many thanx for helping!
It was a unique experience and I´d love to do it again someday. I really feel working with Children is what i would love to do in the future and i`m very thankful for this community & experience!

weeks 3 + 4:
Lee Abbey!
On Saturday the 29th the Gurnetts drove me to Victoria station in London where i got the coach to Taunton and surprisingly met Selina (on the coach) so it was a nice journey!
There we had to wait for a while til we got the special coach to Lee Abbey.
Here is an example of an typical day:
In the morning someone walked around the tents and tried to wake all the campers up. This was about 8 ish. At 8:30 we had breakfast. Over all we had 6 meals a day *yummy* !!!
Everday we had loads of activities for example: Swimming, volleyball, football, tabletennis, games in the lounge, relaxing, bible study, discussion groups ( big buds) , seminars, workshops like arts, making earrings, t-shirts etc..... !

In the evenings we always had epilogues with certain issues like the book of Daniel, The passover, sexuality, holy spirit .... This was the only thing that was compulsory- the epilogue!
One day we dressed up in fancy dress to play podex against the House (lee abb
ey community centre)! Podex is a mix of American football and Cricket! It is lots of fun!

Another we had a formal evening (Black tie evening) where the girls wore dresses and the boys shirts&ties. After a delicous dinner we went dancing in the big tent, like a disco. It was fun! hehe :-)

We also went on many walks to find our way around! There were nice paths on the cliffs where you could see the whole area ! In half an hour you could walk to the next villages - lynton and lynmouth! There weren`t a lot of houses at all. Once in Lynton I wanted to buy ice-cream but I also wanted to have a flake but didn`t have the money so the ice-cream man asked me where I´m from and because he likes german people he gave to me free.

Camp was a really fascinating experience for me. Although I had been there last year it was very different and many things were new to me. It was good to see all the friends again from last year and it didn`t take long till you got to know them because you already knew them :)
Obviously people changed over the year. But I also realized how different I am to last year, know more about life, grew in faith and met new people over the year. It really changed me and it emcouraged me a lot when people said that I´m quite mature for my age.
Of course there were many knew people i met too who were just smashing :D
God challenged me in so many ways at camp: He gave me the opportunity to talk with people about Gods calling for my life, I gave God the pen to write the most beautiful love story for my life (not written by me but by him) and though life is not easy always I know he forgives me and cleanses me that I will be as white as snow (psalm 51) !!! I´m glad i can live with jesus.

"With God ALL things are possible!" Matthew 19:26

God sometimes can`t act because we don`t put enough faith in him! It`s then our fault not his!

week 5:
My stay in Nottingham!

After Camp i visited my friend Alison in Nottingham. I had a really nice time getting to know her better and doing different activities like
visiting "Cadburys Chocolate world" in Bournville. That was fun, all the delicous smelling chocolate.

On the first day we went to Alison`s church in Toton and i met Louise from Germany who was currently working there as a youth leader. The other day we went to Nottingham, met her friend Naomi and went shopping. It was really nice to see Nottingham again.
On Thursday we went to Alisons School to get her AS-level results. Alison was quite pleased with her German exam result. I think it was an B. B is like a 2 in Germany!
I had a really nice time at her house indeed and I´m really going to miss them!
Anyway, school starts tomorrow and I hope everyone is looking forward to studying again ;)
Peace be with all of you! Be blessed!!!
